Analysis of Banner Ads
For this assignment, you need to go to three separate sites which offer
some banner advertising. Samples include all of the major search engines
(Lycos, AltaVista, Yahoo, Iwon, Find, etc.), CNN, ESPN, and so on.

Please ensure that at least one of the sites is a search engine. Search
on "Halloween" at this site, and then indicate, on the main search page,

how many banner & button ads were on the main screen of the site after
the search?

the search?

did the banner & button ads shift after click-through and return?

For all three sites, please indicate:

which banner & button ads you found the most successful (and why);

which banner & button ads you found the least successful (and why);

how likely (for you) is click-through?

how rapidly did the sites plot the banner/button ads?

was speed an issue for these sites?

Finally, evaluate the ads based on size of banner/button. Does size matter?
What constraints exist because of size? What are the advantages and disadvantages
of sizes of the various banners and buttons?
